New Books have arrived!

‘Twas the week before vacation

at Shutesbury School
when a buzz was created
causing students to drool!

New books had arrived!
a big shipment indeed

with something for you

and something for me!

Books for First Graders!

With words for beginning

Stories of Elephants

and cute little Piggies.

Series for those in the second and third

who know that a story can fly like a bird!

Graphic novels galore

that made their heads soar!

And nonfiction books about things that we like

like Star Wars and animals and riding a bike!

There were ten Playaways, too, their cases a-glistening

Charged up and ready for hours of listening.

Chapter books! Picture books! In piles and heaps

Displayed in the LC for all of our peeps.

So come to the Library

for a book that is new

You are sure to find one that is perfect for you.

And now I must go, with one final request

Happy reading to all

‘cause reading’s the best!

(and check them all out….on Destiny Quest!)

Community Reading Partners

We currently have 15 volunteers who have begun meeting with students in grades K-6 weekly to support reading in our school. Already, we are hearing from parents and teachers that this is a special time that their children are looking forward to each week. It's not too late to sign up if you have time during the school day and would like to make a difference. Thanks!
